Tennis Clinic Frequently Asked Questions
Enrolment.
All participants are required to fill out an online enrolment form before the start of the clinic. Payment is required upon enrolment. This is done for safety and insurance purposes – if we have not received a complete enrolment form and payment then you are not permitted to take part in the clinic.
Club Membership.
All clinic participants must be a coaching member of TennisGear. This membership entitles you to discounts in our pro shops, a Queensland Tennis membership, on court insurance in case of accidental injury and membership discounts on court hire and any other coaching product. The membership is a one off cost of $24.
Payment.
Payments must be made upon enrolling your child. Payments can be made at the centre of over the phone using a credit card.
What do I bring?
Comfortable enclosed sports shoes, a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and racquet. Please bring a lunch box with enough food to get your child through a busy day of tennis. We have a water fountain at each centre.
Sun Screen?
Please ensure you child has had sun screen applied before the start of their clinic day. Coaches will remind players to re-apply their sun screen during the day.
What happens if it is raining?
We will do everything possible to run our clinic as scheduled, however on occasion weather may force us to cancel. The decision to cancel the clinic day will generally not be made until immediately prior to the scheduled commencement time.
If the clinic has already started or it starts to rain during the day our coaches will provide inside and under cover activities until it is safe to go back on court.
Can I make up a wet weather day?
If a day has to be cancelled you can make up that wet weather day on any other clinic day. If we do have to cancel a day please let our staff know when you would like to make up your day.
Additional days.
You are able to book any additional days at any time. Please see our shop staff or just give them a call.
Class sizes and ratios.
You child will be placed into a group depending on their age and ability. These groups have a player to coach ratio of 1-7 in the mornings for skills and technical development and 1-10 in the afternoon for their match play.
TennisGear Cancellation Policy

Alternatively, a credit can be held for future clinics. If less notice is given, unfortunately, no credit is available.”
