Morningside Tennis Centre 2015 Summer League Winners!

 

The final night of our 2015 Fast4 Summer League wound up at the Morningside Tennis Centre last night in perfect conditions for tennis! Our Summer League Aggregate winners have been decided in a close finish and they are as follows:

 

1st Prize (a Wilson Pro Staff tennis racquet valued at over $200): Trevor Morrison

2nd Prize (5 x Cardio Tennis Sessions valued at $100): Geoff Smith

3rd Prize (1 x FREE Luxilon ALU Power restring valued at $57): Catherine Green

Round 4 Summary

 

League 1 was won by Rob Daley who managed to hold off the spritely Aggregate runner-up Geoff Smith to top the group. League 2 was decimated by injury but in the end won by a dominant Ruth Storrs who showed the guys a thing or two. Darren Head continued his strong pre-season form with a win in League 3 while League 4 was taken out by MTC coach Shane Gordon who was able to inflict Aggregate winner Trevor Morrison’s first loss for the season. League 5 went to Joe Nel in the closest group of the night, holding off Amy Scales, Kris Gierach and Fritha Mackay in a level affair. Geoff Aquino showed no mercy in League 6, using all 6 foot 8 of his frame to win all three of his matches and League 7 went to Catherine Green who propelled herself into 3rd spot in the Aggregate with a fine display and will be rewarded with a brand new Luxilon restring in addition to the accolades of her peers.

Well done to all players and don’t forget the Summer League will now be continuing as Morningside Tennis Centre’s brand new Fast4 Tennis League from next week! Any players interested in joining tennis’s most exciting new format can contact the club and book their spot. We only have 24 spots available each week so be sure to secure your position early!
