The Morningside Tennis Centre is going to be hosting the ‘French Open’ event of the Tennis Australia’s Hot Shots Tournament series on Sunday, June 16.
Tennis Australia’s Hot Shot Series is aimed exclusively at players currently involved in Red, Orange & Green ball lessons and is a fantastic way to get into tournament play in a fun, supportive environment.
MLC Hot Shots Tournament is the perfect opportunity for children to participate in a competitive environment for the first time, whilst still understanding the key elements of the Hot Shots program.
The objective of the MLC Hot Shots Tournament is to provide a competitive arm to the program so children are able to experience tennis tournaments for the first time whilst still developing their skills through the MLC Tennis Hot Shots program. The aim is that these tournaments will begin to shape the culture of all tournaments across the country and provide a pathway for children to progress through.
Smaller courts, lighter racquets and low compression balls that don’t bounce too high will make it fun and easy for participants to compete. Now is the time for all of our Hots Shots players to get involved in Tournament Tennis!
Matches commence at midday however please ring the centre on 07 3899 8110 on Friday, June 14 to confirm playing times.
